It is Time to Bless our Back-to-School Bags
August 16, 2026
Students of all ages, teachers, administrators, school support staff and caregivers are invited to bring their school bags and join us on the lawn for worship, a special back-to-school blessing and ice cream!
Invite your friends and family to join you for this extra special worship. Did we mention ice cream after worship to celebrate?! See you on August 16th.
This September we are excited to offer Messy Church at PCB.
What is Messy Church?: It is simply faith, food and fun for all ages!
Despite the name, Messy Church isn’t about making a mess (although that may sometimes happen). It is welcoming, interactive and intergenerational. It’s church that meets you where you are- in the real, sometimes messy, everyday moments of life.
Messy Church is made up of an encouraging, warm welcome, with several themed stations that all ages visit to engage in crafts, activities, and games, and then a brief celebration (worship) time.
A foundational ingredient of Messy Church is to gather around a table for a meal and build relationships with each other, God, and the world.

Sunday, August 2nd- Ravinia Concert
CSO & vocalists perform “America In Song”. We will provide transportation for the evening, leaving PCB at 2pm to arrive at Ravinia at 3pm when the public gates open, and will return to PCB by 9pm. PCB lawn seating & fellowship at 3pm. Look for the blue & silver balloons. BYO chairs, beverages & food, or purchase on site. You can also rent chairs on site. Buy your own tickets for the lawn or the pavilion online at www.Ravinia.org (do not buy from a 3rd party website!) Kids’ music-oriented lawn activities will be held on the North Lawn from 3:00-4:30pm. Concert begins at 5pm. We expect to depart Ravinia at 8:00pm.

Sunday, August 15th- F.A.R. Out! Organ Concert at Sanfilippo Estate
F.A.R. Out! A theater pipe organ concert with drums and piano, playing popular tunes such as “Stairway To Heaven”, etc. Sanfilippo has the largest restored theater pipe organ in the world! Tour the estate collections at 6-7:30pm, concert at 7:30-9pm, visit the Carousel Pavilion from 9-10pm. Tickets are $45 online, www.sanfilippofoundation.org . These events frequently sell out, so don’t wait to buy tickets if you want to go! Free parking on site.
Sunday, August 23rd- PCB Annual Picnic
Please join us for our annual church picnic after the service on Sunday, August 23rd!. Musical entertainment will once again be provided by The Dynamix- Ultimate Classics Cover Band. Enjoy lawn games for kids and adults. Menu includes hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, picnic side dishes, watermelon, ice cream, and beverages. This is the perfect opportunity to experience the wonderful community we have here at PCB!
